Setting Goals From Abundance
We can be in our present moment and allow ourselves to dream and set goals from a place of abundance, which can be interpreted as, "having plenty already". It's not because of "lack" or trying to make ourselves happy that we set goals. The purpose of goals is to grow into the best version of ourselves. It's just a way of "blooming" in a bigger way.
When considering weight loss as a goal, I encourage my clients to start by making a list of 10 things they love and appreciate about their body; then, to alternate with 10 things they desire to have by achieving their weight goal. This practice cultivates an attitude of abundance, which moves us forward- as opposed to an attitude of scarcity, which does not.
